I work out and taking whey protein will it continue helps me to gain body mass?

Im 20yrs old men 130lbs 5'9, I work out 3x a week and taking whey protein. I gain 5lbs and built my muscles in 3mos periods of working out but my target is to be around 160lbs. How can I get faster result? Do I need to use other products? I don't take whey protein during off days Do I need
